Terms of Use for the Radio Nemiers's digital services

  1. Hello

    These are the Radio Nemiers's terms of use. They tell you:

    1. The rules for using our services
    2. What you can do with our content (share it, link to it, that sort of thing)
    3. What we can do with things you post or upload

    Your rights and responsibilities, basicly - important stuff

    We've kept them as short as possible. So do read them, and check in for updates as the latest version always applies (we'll usually only make updates when we release a new service, change how we provide a service, or have to comply with a new legal requirement).

  2. When these terms apply?

    Read these terms before using our services. Whenever you use our services you agree to these terms.

    If you don't stick to all these terms then we can suspend or terminate you use of services and your account.

  3. What's this about "services" and "content"

    That's media speak for:

    1. Services

      Anything digital offered by the Radio Nemiers. Such as:

      1. Websites
      2. Radio Nemiers player
      3. Content available through RSS feeds
    2. Content

      Anything that's available through those services. Including:

      1. Text
      2. Audio
      3. Video
      4. Images
      5. Technical stuff such as metadata and open-source code
      6. Anything made by people using our services. User-generated content, that's called
  4. Terms for using our services and content

    A few rules to stop you (and us) getting in trouble. These apply to our services and content.

    1. Don't mess with our services

      What do we mean by that? This sort of thing:

      1. Hacking them
      2. Trying to get around our content security technology
      3. Misusing them
    2. Don't harm or offend other people...

      ... while using our services or content. That means:

      1. Don't damage our reputation by associating us with sexism or racism, for instance
      2. Don't harass or upset people
      3. Don't post or upload anything offensive or obscene
      4. If you disagree with someone, attack the argument, not the preson
    3. Play it safe

      Be aware of your surrounding especially when you're using our services or content on the move and always use your device safely.

    4. Don't pretend to be the Radio Nemiers.

      That includes:

      1. Recreating a service or copying the look of a service
      2. Using our brands, trade marks or logos without our permission
      3. Using or mentioning our content in press releases and other marketing bumph
      4. Making money from our content or services. You can't charge people to listen our radio streams for example
  5. Using Radio Nemiers content

    1. When you need permission

      To use any of following things...

      1. Photos
      2. Content from radionemiers.com
      3. Our logo and other branding
      4. Metadata
      5. Anything plucked from our services to develop or train artificial intelligence or to do computer analysis
      6. Anything else that's protected by copyright

      ... you'll need to get permission.

      We don't always own the copyright.

      Our content often includes other people's content, you see. For instance, website might feature images, video and music that belong to artists and musicians.

      So you'll have to ask them if you can use it. Except under certain circumstances...

    2. When you already have permission

      1. For open-source and open data
      2. To download content on our website using our download button

    1. Registering for an account

      You need an account to use some of our services.

      To keep your account safe, don't:

      1. Give us false information
      2. Try to log in as someone else
      3. Try to bypass our security measures
      4. Create more than one account
      5. Create an account for someone else, except for your child

      And be sure to keep your details up-to-date.

    3. What we do with your information

      The data you send us when you register, fill in web forms or use our services helps us to:

      1. Provide you with services, notifications and other features
      2. Imporove our existing services and come up with new ones

    4. Deleting your account

      Remember, deleteing your account is final. But if you really want to do it, here's how...

      1. First, make sure you're signed in to your Radio Nemiers account
      2. Then click the "Your account" icon at the top of the page. (If you've got a display name, it'll show your display name, not "Your account"). It's in the navigation bar, near your web browser's address bar
      3. Choose "Settings" and you'll be taken to your personal details
      4. In the "Danger zone" section, click "I want to delete my account". You'll need to enter your email since we're using paswordless login for your account.
      5. And you're all done. We'll be sorry to see you go

      Deleteing your account is final, so unfortunately you can't get it back. We do that for your security and to protect your private information.

      If you've deleted your account by mistake or changed your mind, you'll need to register for a new one.

  7. Donations

    Radio Nemiers offers its services free of charge, relying on the generosity of individuals who contribute of their own volition.

    Donations made to Radio Nemiers are non-refundable. There are two types of donations: subscription-based and one-time payments.

    The website provides a link to manage subscriptions for those who choose to contribute through this method.

    All donations are utilized for the following purposes:

    1. Music
    2. Royalties
    3. Hardware and streaming services
    4. Software and licences
    5. Annual payments like domain name, etc

  8. Final stuff

    Quick recap:

    By using our services, you agree to these terms, which outline your rights and responsibilities. Failure to comply may result in suspension or termination of your account.

    We value your privacy and handle your data responsibly. If you choose to delete your account, it's final, and we can't retrieve it.

    We rely on donations to keep our services running smoothly, and all contributions are non-refundable.
